When product is delivered, the appearance may vary within each pack and from one pack to the next. To achieve the best blend, tiles should be taken from different packs and blended as they ae laid on the roof.

As a purchaser of Bristile Roofing products it is important that you understand their design performance requirements. Concrete tiles are created from the controlled blending of selected raw materials extruded under high pressure to achieve the tiles strength and resistance to water penetration. The colour coat applied to the surface of the tile or incorporated in the body is purely decorative. When first installed concrete tiles may experience some discolouration caused by the migration of salts to the surface, which is known as efflorescence. This condition is usually temporary and does not affect the performance of the tile. All concrete tile roofs will weather to an even matt appearance over time. Terracotta tiles are produced by a different process that sees blended raw materials formed onto moulds and then fired in a kiln with or with out a vitreous glaze. Each tile’s colour may vary in shades throughout the roof. There may also be minor colour variations between product batches. All tiles will contain small blemishes. These blemishes will not reduce the tiles weather proofing ability and should not be seen as a product fault. During transportation scuffing and minor chipping may occur. Colours in this publication have been reproduced as faithfully as possible but should only be used as a guide. All customers are encouraged to view the tiles on display before making their final selection. Always check delivered product before installation to confirm colour and profile requirements.
